Similarly, U.K.-based Sainsbury’s Bank—a joint venture between the Bank of Scotland and J Sainsbury supermarkets—shared its intention to outsource its entire banking IT platform after the grocer announced it is buying out the financier’s stake in the company. The transition is expected to take 42 months, and FIS Global will be the company that manages the new platform. Company executives declined to say how much money they expected the move would save them, but lauded FIS’ track record on outsourced services.
