GGP To Hold SoNo Collection Meeting at Norwalk Town Hall

Right now, there are two major points of discussion in Fairfield County: The National Champion UConn Women’s basketball team, and the new mall that may soon be coming to Norwalk.

Plans for the mall, the SoNo Collection, call for over 700,000 square feet of retail space. It will feature between 80 to 100 stores including a Nordstrom and a Bloomingdale’s, as well as a boutique hotel,  a community area and enough parking for 3,000 cars.

The mall’s developers, General Growth Properties (GGP), want to build the facility along North Water Street, West Avenue and Interstate 95. If all goes according to plan, construction could begin this summer and the mall may open in October, 2018.

Here at Apex Technology Services, premier computer consultants for Fairfield County and the greater New York City region, we think this mall will be a tremendous boost to the local economy. So we wanted to share that there will be an upcoming informational session on April 13 at 6:30 p.m. in the Community Room at Norwalk City Hall.

The information session will  be promoted by the GGP development team. Its purpose will be  to field questions from the public, and to prepare for the upcoming Department of Planning & Zoning public hearings which are scheduled for later this month.
